Updated Information on the candidates for national, state and local offices in the
August 6th primary election in Midland County is now available on Vote411.org, an
on-line information resource published by the League of Women Voters Education
Fund. Voters enter their address into the site to view candidates for their area as
well as the candidates’ answers to relevant questions. Vote411.org may also be
used to register to vote.

Registered Michigan voters may choose to participate in either the Democratic or
Republican primary but may not participate in both. Contested primary races of
local interest are the U.S. Senate and House District 8 for both major political
parties and for Drain Commissioner and Sheriff for Republicans at the county level.
