Voting
- Print & distribute Voter Guides in the community
- Hold and publicize candidate forums for state-level candidates
- Monitor and respond to action alerts regarding activities that may restrict voting rights
Provide education for League members and the public on elections and issues of current interest.
- Sponsor at least four programs to educate League members and the public on elections and issues of current interest to voters
Advocate for voter rights and protection
- Current advocacy at state and local levels includes voting rights, national popular vote, the environment, firearms safety and redistricting
Identify governmental issues of concern to our community.
- In cooperation with community government and other organizations, identify issues that the League can address via education and advocacy
Maintain local positions that are relevant and up-to-date so that they can be utilized when advocacy is needed
- Refer to Local Positions section on the website
Participate in League studies at the national, state and local levels.
- Reach consensus on local positions and participate in choosing which issues to study at the state level.
Enhance visibility and engagement.
- Launch more frequent communication via new website and its links to social media
- Maintain a regular presence in the Midland Daily news
- Partner with MC-TV to record and distribute candidate forums
